An important point:

Evidence of impact DOES NOT EQUAL evidence of extinction.

The evidence for an impact seems pretty strong, although there are some
anomolies with Chixculub (of course, even if Chix isn't the K-T impact site,
that doesn't mean that there wasn't a K/T bolide).

The evidence for extinction is strong, although there is considerable debate
about the timing, nature, and other aspects of the phenomenon across the
taxonomic spectrum.

The evidence for impact causing the extinction is, of course, the weakest,
and entirely circumstantial.  This hypothesis does seem to be the best one
at the moment, but the evidence is not as overwhelming as some would like.
