flavor in the Annual Reviews of Physiology: Ruben, J. (1995). Annual Rev.
Physiol. 57:69-95. The Evolution of Endothermy in Mammals and Birds: From
Physiology to Fossils. The most section of greatest interest begins on pg

Pay particular attention, Ruben is a first-rate physiologist who, along
with Al Bennett and some of his students has done some impressive work
over the past 13 years or so.
