Re: cursorial flapping -Reply

Many climbing animals (cats, primates) have long legs, many forest birds
(especially giant harpy eagles) have big wings. Many climbing animals leap
between branches, including long limbed monkeys. The development of airfoils
would ASSIST IN REDUCING COLLISIONS with branches etc by increasing aerial
agility.

No running animal uses airfoils to extend leaping range or control.
