Re: Favorite Living Fossil?

A good question, but one that in turn leads to "define a living
fossil." I've always been fond of the coelacanth, but that's at
least in part because I like the sound of the name. Horseshoe
crabs are certainly amusing critters, and ginkgoes are pretty.
I have to give the nod to the duck-billed platypus, though,
everyone's favorite not-quite-missing link, and proof that the world
is often stranger than we imagine.
