Re: Duckbills



Why shouldn't dinosaurs have common names as well as formal
scientific names, especially if the common names are easier
to pronounce or more evocative? If nothing else, as a layperson
I like being able to keep using a term like "dinosaur" or
"duckbill" without having to worry that the latest taxonomic
discoveries or claims have ruled the term out. We seem to manage
with two kinds of name for living organisms.
