GSA meeting

Just had a look at the abstracts book for the meeting that is on this week.
There is an impressive number of female presenters in the Vertebrate
Palaeo. section. 'course they have been brainwashed by vertebratocentrics
into studying an overly enphasized branch of palaeontology, but heck, at
least the numbers are increasing. :-)

Many say it was a mistake to come down from the trees, some say
the move out of the oceans was a bad idea. Me, I say the stiffening
of the notochord in the Cambrian was where it all went wrong,
it was all downhill from there.
