In regard to giant reptiles, I am talking about only land versions. Water is
a 1 G environment, and t
he cost of transport in the water is many times less than on land, so aquatic
reptiles can become huge in the water. The giant freshwater crocs - which
reached about ten tonnes - may have small legs and flattened heads that hint
they did not come onto land often.
