The real issue is whether the ICZN should be arbitrarily petitioned to
designate a new type specimen for an old taxon just because an old name
(_Coelophysis_) has become well established for the newer forms (Ghost Ranch
theropods), without any real need to do so (such as lost type specimen, etc.)
and without certainty that the newer forms do indeed belong to the old taxon.
