RE: Another Dinosaur Genera List Question

Huxley's name in parentheses means he was the first person
to identify the species taxonomically and publish it. The year
is when he did so. You will see names both with and without
parentheses. If you see parentheses it means the name and info
has changed from another published description which was
subsequently discovered to be later than Huxley or in error.
The credit usually goes to the first but sometimes taxonomists
dont know who that was. If they discover this then they
adopt the earlier name and use parentheses to indicate the
information was changed. Changes also occur because two
different researchers may discover the same animal and name it
differently at different times. Again the earliest known
name usually wins. How am I doing here?
