Well, it doesn't help that I misspelled it, but _Linnaean_ is the
adjective pertaining to Swedish biologist Carl Linnaeus (1707-1778),
who devised the system of naming organisms still in use today --
Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species -- and in
particular introduced the two-part genus/species business that 
provides scientific names for most living things (e.g., 
_Tyrannosaurus_rex_, _Homo_sapiens_, ...)
