Re: Blood flow in Sauropods



To all those who dredge up the myth that big animals have trouble with
overheating. PLease understand that on really hot days when either water is
not available for evaporitive, or it is very humid, it is NOT POSSIBLE TO
UNLOAD HEAT FROM A BODY! WHen the air etc is hotter than the body the
temperature gradient causes heat to flow inward. Heat can only be stored
internally, and only big animals can do this. Dozens of papers by
Schmidt-Nielsen, Taylor, Finch, Whittow, Robertshaw have been showing this
for nearly forty years. PLease, please read them before you all drive me mad.
