Dear fellows of the Quaternary list,

I thought that some of you might be interested in joining an e-mail
discussion list on stable isotope geochemistry that I've launched a little
less than a year ago. For those concerned about e-mail overload, the e-mail
activity of the list is variable, sometimes you can get 5 messages per day
and other times nothing for awhile.
Details on how to join the list are attached below.

Best regards, Andrea Lini

                                ISOGEOCHEM
An E-mail Discussion List in Stable Isotope Geochemistry

The Department of Geology at the University of Vermont (Burlington, USA)
has recently launched a stable isotope geochemistry e-mail discussion list,
also known as ISOGEOCHEM.

The objectives of the ISOGEOCHEM list are to promote the exchange of news and
information among those with an interest in stable isotope geochemistry,
and to provide new contacts and enhance collaboration among researchers
from different disciplines (e.g. geology, biology, chemistry).
The list is intended not only as a discussion forum for isotope geochemists
but also as a source of information and help for researchers from other
fields interested in applying stable isotopes as an additional tool in
their own studies. Currently, about 450 researchers from all over the world
have joined the list.

If you wish to subscribe to the Isogeochem list, simply send an electronic
mail message to this address:

                      listproc@list.uvm.edu

Leave the subject field blank. Construct a subscribe command as follows and
place it as the first line of your message:

                      sub ISOGEOCHEM fname lname

where fname is your first name and lname is your last name.

On the subscribe command you do not need to give your e-mail address (the
system can figure this out automatically). All you need to give is the list
name and your name.

PLEASE NOTE:

Some mailers allow you to append a signature line to the end of your
message. Please turn off this feature when sending commands (like sub and
unsub) to Listproc. Otherwise you will receive an error message. The
subscribe or unsubscribe command will work, but you will receive the error
message, which you can discard.

If you have any questions regarding the ISOGEOCHEM discussion list, feel
free to contact the 'list-owner":
