Funny how a posting leads to all sorts of unsubstantiated speculations.
Anyway, again, sauropod brains were the size expected in giant reptiles, they
were not smaller than otherwise expected. It is true that their skulls would
have been somewhat larger if they had mammal sized brains, but not by a
factor of two. Blood pressure required to oxygenate a high held brain is
independent of the size of the latter. However, the volume of blood needed to
be pumped at that pressure is reduced, easing the work load on the heart.
