JP/Lost world Misquito's

Remember, the proboscis of the insect (mosquito or whatever) does not
necessarily need be long enough to penetrate the--what we assume is
very thick--hide of a dinosaur. There are, and this applies to all large
animals, lots of accessble membranes around the eye, nostrils, mouth,
etc.
Flies, mosquitoes and all their irrating kin bite and transmit diseases
from horses, elephants, birds whatever, with very thick skins. Even thinner
skinned beasts are disturbed by insects in these delicate. Insects are really
very clever when it comes to finding places to bite!

                         Cheers,

                                  Alan

PS and don't forget the DEET
