I'm not sure about the presence of dinosaurs, but a'very primitive' bird
has recently been reported from Madagascar. Check out Foster et al., (1996)
"The first Cretaceous birds from Madagascar" in Nature 382:532-534.
Nicely preserved specimen, named Vorona. Its relationships are unclear,
but it is important in that it extends the distribution of the very early
birds to a larger part of Gondwana.
