Re: Bird behavior question

House Sparrows use old Cliff Swallow nests(made of mud, with a hole at
the bottom); in fact, they often drive the swallows out before the nests
are old. House Sparrows, an agressive introduced species, will use any
cavity they can for a nest site. As far as finches go, however, I've not
heard of that behavior before. Would it be possible to get a specific ID
on the two species involved?

Thanks,
