I've lost the thread, but someone was asking about DNA and how long it might
possibly survive. Archaeology magazine (Sept/Oct. 1996) did an article "The
Quest for DNA" and noted that biochemist Thomas Lindahl of Great Britain's
Imperial Cancer Research Fund believes DNA cn survive 50,000-100,000 years.
The new book, Science of Jurassic Park and the Lost World (or How to Build a
Dinosaur) by Rob DeSalle & David Lindley is really a very detailed
examination of the DNA issue.
