Dinosaur Genera List corrections #75

Today's print media carried the announcement of a new theropod, probably a
deinonychosaurian "distant relative of both velociraptor and birds," from
Argentina. The initial release (July 23, 1997) seems to be anonymous
(Reuter), but the name itself is clearly attributed to Fernando Novas, so I
add

Araucanoraptor Novas, 1997 [nomen nudum]

as the 808th generic name in the Dinosaur Genera List. The species name is
given as _Araucanoraptor argentinus_ in the release. The material is loosely
described as a foot from a site near Plaza Huincul, dated about 90 Ma. From
this a head-to-tail length of 8 feet (2.5 m) and weight of 66 lbs (30 kg) are
extrapolated.
