Totally astounding that the foremost T. rex experts, with a combined 275
years of education and experience, would not have readied defensive
strategies in the event of a T. rex pursuit. They might try: bad taste,
foul odor, stealthy nest building, hirsutism, predator satiation (could it
eat just one?), a frilly starched collar, biting it in the face, or standing
one’s ground in the belief that the charge is only a bluff.
To do an O.J. at this defining moment of paleo truth would disillusion those
of us who believe in the brain over brawn evolutionary path.
