Md. dinos in Oklahoma!
I knew this might get your attention! ;-)
Just a little tease of coming events in the realm the Maryland dinosaurs.
For anyone with access to the Baltimore Sun news paper of 22 June 1997. See
the Maryland section, page 1, for a nice story involving myself and Dr. Tom
Holtz on the work going on at my site. Not mentioned in the article however
were also Dave Bohaska and Michael Brett-Surman of the Smithsonian, Dave
Weishampel of JHU, and Greg Paul, all of whom helped the story and the
project come to fruition. Hopefully the story within the story (hint) will
make up for what was not covered in the article. More on that this Fall!

I have also set up a nascent web page that is dedicated to the study of

this resurgent area of paleo research. _No_images as of yet! I don't have a
I would appreciate it if some of you web page vets check out the address

Oh yes. The reason for the subject line...
I will be out of town as of Wed morning to visit a good friend who lives in
Edmund Oklahoma (and teaches at UOk). Plans are also in the works for a trip
to the paleo museum, lab and the site where A. atokensis was found.
Naturally, I will bringing along the two teeth shown in the article as well
as numerous others not shown.
If there is sufficient interest when I return( after the 1st) I will either
post a summary to the list or on my web page and then I will try to respond
to all those who have sent me any comments etc. I need feedback!!!
And a scanner! ;-)
