Here's one last tip for taking photos through a pane of glass (as in a
glassed-in museum  display) without getting a reflection of the flash.  If
the enclosure is large enough so that your subject isn't too close to the
glass, you can put the camera lens right up against the glass.  You can use
your camera-mounted flash in this case and you will get no flash
reflection.

Or you just go hire Louie Psihoyos...
