References for everything!

Some of you may not know this, but references for all things fossil
vertebrate may be at your very fingertips.

I am speaking of "The BFV Online," to be found at
<http://eteweb.lscf.ucsb.edu/bfv/bfv_form.html>. This is, of course, the
_Bibliography of Fossil Vertebrates_, produced by the Society of Vertebrate
Paleontology (SVP), previously available only in expensive annual volumes.
Now, it is yours for the typing (online thanks, at least in part, to a
grant from the Dinosaur Society). It is a vast bibliography which enables
you to search for, among other things, any scientific journal references
published on a given taxon of fossil vertebrate. They're currently
updating their records and anticipate delays for a few months, but when the
site is up and running it displays references for scientific papers
published between 1509 and 1993. Check it out.
