I was under the impression (perhaps mistakenly) that sauropod defense is
thought to be based on size, and perhaps on group behaviour (juveniles
surrounded by the larger adults). If the juveniles were left behind,
what defense might they put up against predation? Assuming of course
that one year's growth did not produce a giant animal.
