Bird would not be exceptional; they fit the arboreal-bipedal correlation quite
well. Any arboreal features of dromaeosaurids are best be regarded as
holdovers from the arboreal common ancestor of birds and dromaeosaurids. Then
they need no convoluted explanation for their appearance in dromaeosaurids.
