The Boy Paleontologists
Over the holidays I came across an amateur paleontology group mentioned
in an old California Dept of Mines Bulletin (1951). This group, called
the Boy Paleontologists, were situtated near the SF Bay Area
(California) and were credited with finding, and cataloguing much of the
vertebrate mammal material coming out of the Danville, Hayward, and
Irvington areas at the time. They were a group of teenaged boys led
by an adult amateur collector.
Does anyone know if any of this material is still in the current
collections of UC Berkeley?.
