Re: K-T strike

Chris, I for one, believe that the impact was probably the sole cause, due to atmospheric debris blocking photosynthesis for a matter of months. Not nuclear winter, not acid rain etc. (although this may have happened to an extent). I believe there was a "pole" taken of professional paleontoligsts on this matter at the end of the book "Hunting Dinosaurs" by Louis Psihoyos. Also , if you check back a couple of months(?) ago,you can see by the long debate on this subject, there were varying views. You might conduct an accurate poll yourself, by requesting opinions off list, but I think you`ll find that most will see it as only a contributing factor in extinction (the K-T anyway).
