Re: The heart of a Brachiosaurus

<< how big was the heart of a Brachiosaurus. It must have
been huge to pump blood all the way up to its head. And/or was its blood
 pressure really high? >>

Chris McGowan in his book Diatoms to Dinosaurs estimates the heart of a 50 ton
sauropod to have weighed 1.6 tons and been capable of pressures up to 568 mm
Hg. (For comparison a giraffe has a pressure of 210 mm Hg).
