<Does anyone out there who knows about liver function know whether livers tend
to be larger in carnivores than herbivores, and can cite a reference?>
Can't cite references, but doubt that carnivore livers are larger. Meat is
relatively non-toxic, compared to phytotoxin laden veggie food (carrots
contain carcinogens). Given that the major purpose of the liver is
detoxification, it seems likely that herbivores would be the liver champs, not
carnivores. But just a guess.
