I`ve been having big time troubles with this computer lately, and am
going to attempt a total win 95 re-install....(this should be interesting!)

be off the net for a while.
I`d also like to say that after openly discussing my idea of a one time
development of endothermy to the point of brooding capability, and possible
development of the diapsid line in an arboreal environment, I can make the
First of all, I have learned a lot about what I don`t know, especially in
the fields concerning early amniote forms, and molecular biology. In fact,
all I have presented is an ecological argument. Here I have tried to employ
sound ecological and evolutionary principles, but it is, nevertheless, just
an argument. In view of rigorous scientific standards which (as Dr. Holtz
has pointed out) should govern all scientific theories, ( and I agree), I
would prefer to call my idea a "hunch". At least until I can further back it

form a good, "falsifiable" hypothesis.
Thanks all for the discussion. It was....."enlightening"!
