Easy!  Never use jargon!  For a sort of beginners cladistics, simply
never say
"order" or "class" simply say "Dinosaurs, crocodyles and birds are all
related.
Crocodyles and dinosaurs seperated in the Early Triassic and birds
seperated from
dinosaurs in the Early Jurrassic (or Late Triassic)."  A begat B begat
C.  I find
that cladistics is much easier to understand then Linnaen taxonomy.
