Re: Leonine giant-killers

I posted a message yesterday to all and two other posters.  The reference is
(this is close if not exact) Lions of Sauvati:  Hunters under the Moon.  I
got my copy at Barnes and Nobles.  I gave my copy to Dr Alan Shoemaker who
collects animals for the Columbia SC zoo and is a big cat expert.  I talked
by phone with him yesterday and a friend recently left there and witnessed
this pride taking an adult elephant.  It is not an ordinary prey of most
lion prides (?just this one) nor are giraffe.  Some prides have just
developed the expertise.
