PATERNAL mitochondrial DNA

a VERY interesting paper in NATURE last week shows that mitochondrial
DNA DOES indeed pass on from the paternal side.  Something on the order
of a 1 in 100,000 chance that it will do so.

I believe this means that all current molecular clock data should now be
considered faulty until the new information (of paternal mitochondrial
DNA) is taken into account and timetables for marker mitochondrial DNA
are re-calibrated with the new information.  yes?
