Re: Spilling the Dino Beans
I detected some bad feelings in your remarks pointed toward "commercial"
paleontologists as opposed to "professional" paleontologists. Having worked
with both groups for quite a while, I feel I too can take this opportunity to
share an opinion.
The comments you made reflect the typical non-ethical, non-professional
character you attribute to "commercial" paleontologists. I and many others
with their eyes open, in a "professional" manner, can see how unethical and
unprofessional many people are on both sides of the argument. It just leaves
me with a bad taste for the list, and for paleontologists that feel they must
criticize each and every person that is "Non-SVP". These people are proud of
their discovery, the news surrounding it, and the momentary importance
attached to it all. Give them a break, and hopefully, an apology.
