I suspect that once it is formally described and officially named, they will call it Saltriosaurus. I think they are probably trying to avoid having such a formal name hanging in limbo (and becoming a nomen nudum). Referring to it by a "common name" in the meantime makes a lot of sense.

News articles at Yahoo, CNN, ABC say "The dinosaur, tentatively dubbed
Saltriosaur ..."  Could it be Saltriosaurus, not Saltriosaur? Does
anybody know?
