E. Rungius Fulda

I should have mentioned last night that the wildlife painter Carl Rungius'
sister was E. Rungius Fulda. Elizabeth created a number of classic paleolife
art pieces for the American Museum of Natural History, mostly art
illustrating discoveries from Roy Chapman Andrews' Mongolian expeditions. Her
sculpture of hatchling pair of Protoceratops and her charcoal drawing of a
burly pair of "Paleoscincus"are well-known and are in the old Colbert volume,
_Dinosaurs: Their Discovery and their World_. DV.
