Hello all:

I really appreciate these answers to my query.  I am letting my professor
know what the answers were (as I will continue to do for any new replies to
this thread).

I was curious about the second part of the hypothesis.  When did larger,
ground running ratites evolve, and, during the Mesozoic, was the Tinamouse
(spelling?) the only type of ratite?
