Yeah, you can't get much more wrong than that statement.  

Besides the reptile groups that went extinct at the K/T, belemnite molluscs
and rudist bivalves also died out.  Or do you plan to tell all those nice
folks who study belemnites and rudists that they're just not looking hard
enough in Cenozoic strata?  :-)

Foraminiferans and diatoms also took a hit at the K/T, but survived.  These
are microbes that do have a excellent fossil record due to the fact they
have "hard bits".
