Dana Royer, now at Pennsylvania State University, is
continuing quite interesting reconstructions of
Cretaceous environmental systems.
I highly recommond two of his recent efforts:
Dana Royer, 2002. Estimating latest Cretaceous and
Tertiary PCO2 from stomatal indices. Ph.D.
dissertation, Yale University, 163pp
Dana Royer, C.P. Osborne, D.J. Beerling, 2002. High
CO2 increases the freezing sensitivity of plants:
implications for paleoclimatic reconstructions from
fossil flora. Geology 30(11):963-966.
These -- and more -- are available at his website at <www.psu.edu>
