fossils in Sonora, Mexico?

Are Jurassic-Cretaceous vertebrate fossils possible in the area around the Rio Yaqui and the foothills of the Sierra Madre Occidental in Sonora, Mexico? (due west from the Big Bend area of Texas).

Or is that region more likely to have Pleistocene exposures?

A hill in that area, known as Otam Kawi, "Skeleton Mountain," is said to have bone beds, including those of a giant bird. (If paleontologists have not yet explored the area, the name alone should lure them there!)

Any info will be gratefully cited.
