But likewise we never say "mammals aren't reptiles, but they share a common
ancestor with reptiles". Oh, er, if we don't use the cladistic definition of
Reptilia :-)

To finally digress, there is 1 *Loxodonta cyclotis* (African forest
elephant) in any zoo in the world, and nobody complains all other zoos that
have elephants are incomplete. :-)
