Fwd: All about the Feet

I don't know the answer to this--Greg Paul, Tracy Ford
and many others have been showing us very carefully
drawn restorations based on the skeletal morphology
for years now. Amazing realism has been achieved in
many ways, but the more obvious morphological errors
still glare forth when the producers get careless, or
just ignore the advisor's advice. As a public service,
maybe we should send the CGI studios a list of
knowledgeable consultants. Sometimes it still doesn't
make a difference--Mauricio Anton, whose renditions of
sabercats reflect his profound knowledge of their
anatomy, must have been horrified at the clumsy,
animated abortion the BBC created for their Sabertooth
Program a few years ago in spite of his expert input.
In spite of this, accuracy will come bit by bit, and
I'm optimistic.
