Surely you aren't referring to the amount of morphological diversity? It
far exceeds that of dinosaurs. There are no brachiating dinosaurs, no
cetacean analogs, no sea
The same can be said for the entire Archosauria - which, AFAIK, all conform
to the same reproductive method (laying eggs). Yet, we *know* that this
group includes both modern ectotherms (crocs) and endotherms (birds).
Your argument is this:
(1) Placentals display a great deal of morphological diversity, and all are
(2) Therefore... Dinosaurs, which display less morphological diversity than
placentals, cannot have shown any metabolic diversity.
This is not a scientific argument.
