I hope the leg feathers haven't be "added" to make the fossil more
spectacular.
How can one be sure those features are true?

Well, as expressed in the paper, the metatarsal feathers are preserved on all six dromaeosaur specimens. That's a pretty good indication that they aren't chimeric in nature.
