GSA Abstracts Posted

The hot-off-the-press abstract listing for the 2004 Geological Society of
America meeting has some entries that may be of interest to the list. Full
listings (and additional abstracts--I've only included a small subset here)
are posted at http://gsa.confex.com/gsa/2004AM/finalprogram/

In another nice twist, the GSA meetings start the day after SVP is
finished--in the same city! For those of you students who haven't been to
one, I *strongly* recommend checking it out. You get a nice cross-section of
stratigraphers, taphonomists, invert workers, paleobotanists, etc., that you
just don't get at SVP (yes, you *can* do real paleontology without compiling
a character list!).
