In his excellent paper in the Ostromium Symposium volume, Gishick discusses
the use of two-handed predation against both large prey and small prey. One
illustration also demonstrates that the feathers would have been oriented
perpendicular to the claws, thereby reducing the chances of the wings
interfering with prey capture (or vice versa). But if the prey was small
and close to the ground...?
