'ANCIENT GIANTS' is the first workshop in a K-12 professional
development series entitled "Reptiles Past and Present" co-hosted by
Project Exploration, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and the Lincoln
Park Zoo.

Inspired by Project Exploration's newest exhibit, "Giants, African
Dinosaurs at the Garfield Park Conservatory," Ancient Giants gives K-12
teachers a hands-on opportunity to learn from scientists what evolution
is all about. Workshops will focus on skeletons and bones, form and
function, comparative anatomy, and interdisciplinary strategies for
tapping into kids' interests in dinosaurs to teach about evolution and
the nature of science.

A $75 registration fee includes classroom materials, CPDU credit and a
free classroom pass to visit GIANTS.

A Reception in the Garfield Park Conservatory follows the workshop.
