These are among the largest load concentrations in the region, and those
loads are approximately aligned with the ileum, rather closely so. In
most pterosaurs, the alignment  and sometimes the curvature of the ileum
as seen in side view also pretty much aligns with the expected
camberline of the wing in that region. Also expected, since the loads
coming out of the wing have to be oriented locally in-plane with the
wing membrane.
