There is also _geneti-_, _geno-_, etc. for genetic, genotype, and so
forth. The sense of _geni-_, as in genitive (of or bringing about an
origin) as opposed to general (_generalis_) or generic, deriving from
"produce, beget" and a broader connotation to groups, as in "of tribes,
kinds," etc. The root itself (_gens_ or _genus_, I forget) leads to
_gigno_, _genui_, and _genitum_, as in "genital." This was the closest I
could get to the idea of the "lineage" without using _line-_ or _lineo-_
which serves just to draw a line between two things; lit., "string" or
"cord." Thus, I have brought forth a segment of the cord.

Little steps are often the hardest to take. We are too used to making leaps
in the face of adversity, that a simple skip is so hard to do. We should all
learn to walk soft, walk small, see the world around us rather than zoom by it.
