"Sleeping dragon" links dinosaurs to birds

Tomorrow, October 13, 2004, the journal, _Nature_, will publish a report of an Early Cretaceous 53 cm long troodontid from the Liaoning Province of China which is preserved in a characteristically bird-like sleeping position. The authors include Xu Xing and Mark Norell. See http://www.mg.co.za/Content/l3.asp?cg=BreakingNews-InternationalNews&ao=123644. The newspaper article offers no details, but it refers to the animal as "Mei Long."
