The snout of the juvenile isn't necessarily shorter, but smaller. It's much
less tall than the rest of the skull. So, cuteness factor > 0.

Even though the adult already has a small, pointed snout, the baby has an
extreme version of it, and much rounder orbits.

The tuatara baby is so young its lower temporal arch seems not to have quite
finished closing! :-)
